Attorney Lauren K. DeLuca is growing a civil litigation practice focused on matrimonial and family law matters. Ms. DeLuca handles all aspects of family law in both Supreme Court and Family Court, including support, custody, and family offense disputes, separation and divorce. In addition to family law, Ms. DeLuca represents clients in minor criminal defense matters, personal injury litigation and appellate work. Recently, Ms. DeLuca successfully argued before the Appellate Division, Third Department on a default judgment civil litigation matter. Williams v. Charlew Constr. Co., Inc., No. 511020, 2011 N.Y. App. Div. LEXIS 2086 (3d Dept. March 24, 2011); 2011 N.Y. Slip Op. 2111.
Ms. DeLuca is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. Ms. DeLuca is a member of both the Albany County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
Ms. DeLuca graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University, where she was an active member of the Western Equestrian Team. Ms. DeLuca then obtained her law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. While in law school, Ms. DeLuca gained experience through internships in both the Saratoga District Attorney’s Office (through the Albany Law Clinic & Justice Center’s Domestic Violence Prosecution Hybrid Clinic) and the New York State Attorney General’s Office. Before taking the New York State Bar Exam, Ms. DeLuca served as a law clerk at Harris, Conway & Donovan, PLLC for more than one year.
During law school Ms. DeLuca was also active in the Pro Bono Society and Moot Court, qualifying as a quarter-finalist in the Karen C. McGovern Senior Prize Trials, and participating in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Appellate Advocacy competition.
Ms. DeLuca hails from Greene County and currently lives in Albany.
